During pregnancy, a woman’s body is already acting differently than it had been before, so one will need to take special care in looking for changes in the following possible signs.

  • An increase in fatigue can be a sign that you may have gestational diabetes.
  • Excessive urination
  • Thirst
  • An increase in appetite.
  • Infections in the skin
  • Bladder infections
  • Vomiting and experiencing nausea more often than normal
  • Blurred vision

While gestational diabetes may be temporary for the mother, if not diagnosed and controlled, it may have lasting effects on her baby.

You must keep an eye on your body during pregnancy and alert the doctor if you have any concerns. This way a glucose test can be used for make a final diagnosis and a plan can be made with the mother’s doctor.

my 3 yr old son already has asthma really bad been hospitalized atleast four times and now to think about diabetes ive had him at his uncles and aunts they have been keeping and eye on him they say his urine is dark and his sugar reads 170 or sometimes higher and he eats something sweet he goes to sleep and some times wet the bed and hes always thirsty and picky when he eats if he does so im very scared hes been through alot and i sceduald a doctor appointment for wendsday hope all goes well
