memyselfand I asked:
I had random stick tests on a meter after eating large amounts of pasta or some kind of sugar. read 300. I usually never eat this much. I have been on psych meds for 10 years and off for 2. I gained alot of weight from them but since getting off I lost 30 + pounds – trying to eat healthier but hard cause im on ssi- eating more salads and using natural meds. told dr about this and he gave me panel- cholesterol high, A1C normal range for normal person, bp and everything else normal I sometimes *** alot but not at night.
I am not excessively hungry or thirsty except before my period. Drs test wit A1c was a 12 hr fast
was on most antidepressants but dr took me off. I use natural meds for depresion and other things.
also had a minor procedure done for some thing unrelated. incision was 5cm deep and it 1 1/2 weeks to heal.

Hi I am currently 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant… I have diagnosed with GD at 12 weeks and have been taking good control of my diet… my Hba1c test results are superb as they are at non-diabetic lvl…
My baby's weight is within the graph and my gynae is quite proud and satisfied with my progress… However, all said and done, my gynae feels tat I should go for an induced delivery or c-sec if I do not show any sign of delivery by my 39 weeks because according to him, no matter what, GD is still a medical complication…
I am scheduled to go for my c-sec tomorrow… I chose C-Sec over induced delivery because I heard many stories tat induced wont work and u might need to go for emergency c-sec later on and gynae usually gives u 12 hrs to dilate for induced…
Should I tell my gynae I do not want c-sec tomorrow as I still wan to give myself a chance of natural delivery but what if I shldnt delay anymore for baby's sake? But if my diet control is good, baby shldnt be harm isnt it? I really dont know what I shld do… Shld I go ahead and have c-sec tomorrow???

My daughter has not been diagnosed as a diabetic. But her doctor was suspecting maybe pre-diabetes so he gave us a meter to check a few times.
I don't remember what time or what she ate but I do know that these readings were AFTER she ate. Here are some of them: 168, 163, 161, 159, 155 (and several others over 140, but she has had a few normal readings and her fasting reading is normal). She also had a 62 after running around with friends.
So do you think this warrants a trip to an endocronologist? Or do you think her doctor is right calling her pre-diabetic? She is not overweight and eats like a normal kid (not an over amount of sugar but some sweets now and then).
She is under 18 and on the lower end of normal for weight. We took her reading an hour after eating 4 chicken wings today and it was 143. Her doctor told us to check her fasting ever few days and they have been normal. He also told us to check an hour after and 2 hours after because he wants to find how high she spikes.
