Christmas is coming and I like to make stuff for my family, you know cookies and things then put them into a pretty basket. It is a nice cheap way of giving them something personal.
This year i have a problem, my step dad just found out that he is diabetic and he is saying he can't eat anything at all and it is making him miserable. I don't want to leave him out of what has become a family tradition just because he is diabetic, so what do I do?
Where can I find recipes for cookies and cakes that are diabetic friendly? I am also a bit worried that the items that I need to buy will be super expensive, so if you can show me some diabetic recipes for items that won't cost me a fortune that would be great.

It is very easy to get down-hearted when the Doctor tells you that there are a number of foods which you can no longer enjoy. But a Doctor will not always supply you with an in depth diabetic cooking guide to work from. This means you are kind of left to work out some recipes for yourself to replace the diet that you had before you found out about your diabetes.
Doctors tend to tell you what you can and can't eat but they obviously will not give you recipe ideas for tasty meals. So if you're looking for some ideas take a look at the diabetic cooking guide.
